Nothing in Your Life Has Gone Wrong Enough to Count

Therapy is one of the few things people rule out before they’ve tried it, and the reasons sound responsible from the inside. Your problems aren’t serious enough for therapy. There isn’t room in the week for one more thing.

Nothing has collapsed, so there’s nothing to report. That’s the standard you’ve been holding yourself to, and you don’t have to wait until everything falls apart to deserve support.

What if You Don’t Need a Bigger Problem?

Wanting to understand why you put this much pressure on yourself is a reason. So is being tired of feeling like your worth depends on how much you accomplish, or on how happy everyone else is with you. Neither one is an emergency, and waiting longer doesn’t make either one smaller.

None of that settles the question you actually have, which is whether talking to a therapist would change anything for you.

That one can’t be answered from the outside.

Who You Choose Changes What Therapy Can Do

One conversation with one therapist tells you about that therapist. Therapists differ enormously in how they work, how directly they engage, and what they pay attention to, so the therapist you pick decides a great deal about what the work can reach.

I’m not here to tell you who you should be. I’m here to help you better understand who you are and to support you in creating meaningful changes that feel right for you.

You’ll Practice It Here First

And we won’t just talk about it. Therapy is where you try out the things you’re too scared to do in the outside world.

Some of that is practice: challenging an expectation that keeps you second-guessing yourself, rehearsing the conversation you keep putting off, or making one decision based on what matters to you. Whatever it is, there’s room for it here.

Start with Whatever You’d Explain First

Four parts of this have pages of their own, and each goes further than this one does. More than one of them can be true at the same time.

  • Couples Therapy: two people who are both still trying, and conversations that keep going wrong
  • Anxiety & Depression: a mind that won’t slow down, or days with no energy to start
  • Trauma Recovery: what you learned early about staying safe, still running now
  • Grief & Loss: a loss nobody else is treating as a loss, or a major change you didn’t choose

Decide after Twenty Minutes, Not Before

Twenty minutes is enough to find out whether talking to me goes differently than you expect. You’ll make up your mind about therapy afterward instead of in advance.

The doubt comes with you. It’s the most honest place to start.

Schedule a free 20-minute consultation.

You Just Need Somewhere to Start

You don't have to arrive with everything figured out.

Whether you're exhausted from fighting yourself, tired of fighting with the person you love, or realizing you've spent so much time showing up for everyone else that you've lost track of yourself, we can start figuring out what keeps you here and what could move you forward differently. That starts with a free 20-minute consultation.

Next Sunday evening can look different than the last one.
